Kayba Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Kayba collects, uses, and protects the personal information of users of the Kayba platform. By using Kayba, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Policy.

When you register on Kayba, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.

1.2 Payment Information

If you conduct transactions on Kayba, we collect the necessary payment information to process these transactions, such as your credit card details or PayPal account information.

1.3 Usage Information

We collect information about your use of Kayba, such as the pages you view, the features you use, and the actions you take on the platform.

Use of Information

2.1 Providing the Service

We use the information collected to enable you to access and use the features of Kayba, including creating and managing your online store.

2.2 Communication with You

We may use your information to send you account-related notifications, platform updates, product and service information, and marketing communications, subject to your consent where required by applicable law.

2.3 Platform Improvement

We use the information collected to analyze usage of Kayba, diagnose technical issues, and improve the platform's features and performance.

Information Sharing

3.1 Sharing with Brands

If you are a Creator using Kayba, we may share certain information with the relevant Brands to facilitate product delivery and ensure customer service.

3.2 Sharing with Trusted Third Parties

We may share certain information with third-party service providers who help us operate and maintain Kayba, such as online payment services or hosting providers.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may share your information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or ensure the safety of Kayba or our users.

Instagram and Meta Platform Data

4.1 Data We Collect from Instagram

If you are a Creator and choose to connect your Instagram professional account to Kayba (via Instagram Login by Meta), we access and store, with your explicit authorization, the following data provided by Meta Platforms:

  • Basic profile information: your username and account ID, your name and biography, your profile picture, and your follower count;
  • Your media: the posts and reels you have published — media identifiers, permalinks, media type, the image or video files and their thumbnails, and the number of likes and comments on each. We store copies of the media associated with a collaboration on our own servers so that it remains available in your Kayba portfolio;
  • Engagement insights: for media you have linked to a brand collaboration, two metrics read from Instagram — the number of views (video and reels only) and the number of saves.

We only request the instagram_business_basic and instagram_business_manage_insights permissions. We do not request reach, impressions, profile views or audience demographics, and we do not read account-level statistics. We never access your private messages, we do not publish content on your behalf, and we do not moderate your comments.

4.2 How We Use Instagram Data

Instagram data is used exclusively to display your creator profile and portfolio on Kayba, and to measure and display the engagement generated by the content you created as part of collaborations with Brands on Kayba. This performance data is visible to you and to the Brands you collaborate with. We do not sell Instagram data and do not share it with third parties outside the uses described in this Policy.

4.3 Retention, Disconnection, and Deletion of Instagram Data

We stop accessing your Instagram account the moment you disconnect it, which you can do at any time from your Kayba account settings. Content and engagement figures already collected as part of a brand collaboration remain in that collaboration's record until you request their deletion. You can also revoke Kayba's access from your Instagram settings (Settings → Security → Apps and websites). To request the deletion of your Instagram data or of all of your personal data, follow the instructions on our Data Deletion page. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. We comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and implement appropriate measures to safeguard personal data in accordance with this regulation.

Your Choices

You can access, correct, or delete the personal information you provided by accessing your account on Kayba. You may also opt out of receiving marketing communications from us by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those communications.

GDPR Compliance

We comply with the provisions of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and implement appropriate measures to protect personal data in accordance with this regulation. We are committed to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the personal data we collect and process.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide Kayba services and comply with our legal obligations. If you wish to have your personal information removed from our systems, please contact us at the address below. You can also request the deletion of your data at any time by following the instructions on our Data Deletion page.

Policy Changes

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will take effect immediately upon posting on Kayba. We encourage you to review this Policy regularly to stay informed of any updates.
